My vision for this film is simple: make people laugh 'til their britches fall off. The way to make this vision come alive is through interesting characters, mainly Arlo. His view of the world is naturally different as a vanlifer, but his offbeat personality and lack of awareness of many of society's rules land him in some improbable circumstances, which challenge his cleverness and resourcefulness.

This film was an idea that I have had for five years. It began when I lived out of a van in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area and took a corporate job. With a mini iron attached to a power converter and my van's battery, I ironed my suit out of the cargo area at 5 a.m. then showered using a gallon jug of water and some liquid soap. Many of the occurrences in the film actually happened, which provided a solid foundation for a story which could easily welcome a quirky style of humor into its plot. Though I did not work on the details of the film during those five years - I put my time into another project - I felt it had strong enough legs to walk, and it was worthy of spending the time, energy, and resources to create.
